Good morning everyone! Here comes my first post of 2017… As most of you who follow me on Instagram already know, I spent a few weeks in South Korea and Thailand over the Christmas and New Year break. So, there are definitely many stories and adventures to tell you all about them. It was a perfect balance of snow and sun, I have to say! January has been a very hectic and problematic time for my day work as an architect, hence the MIA from blogging for a full month! I promise to be more organised from now on though… As part of this year’s New Year Resolution, improving this blog is also definitely on the list, so watch this space…
For now though, I want to share with you one of the outfits I wore while I was in Seoul. It was a crisp winter day, and I decided to experiment with contrasting volumes, shapes and textures for a walk around Seoul’s Old Town. I paired a chunky knitted wool jumper with exaggerated bell sleeves detail and a pinched waist that I saw at Burberry ‘September’ collection during LFW AW16 with this pair of very cute English wallpaper pattern cropped pyjamas pants in an attempt to change the proportion of my body shape a bit. Lately, I really enjoy wearing these cropped silk pyjamas style trousers out and about because they are so comfortable, light yet very warm. They are perfect for a day of walking and sightseeing. Silk has always been one of my favourite fabrics anyway. I love its natural sheen, its ability to refract light at different angles, which makes this light and silky fabric always look and feel luxurious.
This look can be quite effective in creating tiny waistline and add more curves without having to go to the gym at all. It is a very simple look that anyone can create just by mixing a chunky knitted jumper with silk pyjamas trousers. Don’t you just love what clothes can do to your body and how they can just lift your mood?
