MFW AW16 : Missoni – Monochrome Moments

Missoni is synonymous with bold colours and strong patterns, but what I love about this AW16 collection are actually the monochrome versions of Missoni famous weaves, knits and zigzags, which become even more impressive when combined with a seductive low cut front dress and layers upon layers of oversize scarves. This collection felt very young, fresh and carefree with plenty of movements, amplified further by the hanging neon lights installation and silver foiled wall against raw concrete industrial space that is East Market of Milan. Somehow the blurry lights created by the tiny movements from the wind gave a feeling of speed and immediacy to the overall experience. I was certainly caught in a spell of Missoni Moment, that’s for sure…
