Happy Monday, everybody!

While mid October is supposed to be Autumn, for some reason, flowers in the mews where I currently work and live in are still blooming even though the leaves has turned yellow!  May be they are celebrating with me, now that my examinations result has arrived bearing good news that I pass with Distinction too!  It was completely the opposite of what I expected because I thought I did not do so well and might have to resit, or if it was a pass, it would have been borderline…  Just so happy that my hard work has paid off.  Now it is time to fully focused on my design work and tidy up my life.  I cannot believe that there are only two months left of 2015.  This year flew by so quickly, I better make sure everything on my 2015 New Year Resolution list is ticked before the year end!

The air is getting chillier though and I can finally start to wear some layering.  Today I took out my favourite culottes to welcome London Fall.  I read in that “Culottes are the perfect pants to get your through this unpredictable Fall weather.”, I simply could not agree more.  For short girls like me especially, culottes offer a flattering shape and great alternatives to skirts…  No more running to the tailor to take the hem up every time I buy tailored trousers or jeans, yeay!  Over the years, I managed to stock up quite a few of these in neutral colours.  Today, I paired my oxblood culottes with Missoni Mare romper – which I often wear as a top – a light cardigan and my mint green Burberry Petal Clutch for a little fresh air stroll.  Too much sitting and staring at computer screen often gives me a headache, so a 10 minutes break to change posture and take in some fresh air is very important.

Playsuit [worn as top]: Missoni Mare

Cardigan: Cath Kidson

Culottes: Paul and Joe Sister

Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood for Peter Pilotto
