Summer is time for white dresses, which is fantastic for me because white is my favourite colour when it comes to clothing. Somehow, it suits my skin tone and my personality more than any other colours. This year I fell in love with a long white dress by Chloe from their Spring/Summer 2015 collection, but it was of course completely sold out, which was probably a blessing in disguise because my bank account might burst into tears otherwise. Instead, I found a perfect alternative in this Paul and Joe Sister La Cour dress, which also happened to be much kinder to my wallet. I have been wearing it all the time. I love the simple silhouette it creates, it is pretty yet precise… and so romantic, perfect for strolling in English countryside or a beautiful park, or in the case of today, my favourite lunch time picnic spot in a church garden near my studio!
A few minutes with mother nature made a huge difference when one needs a moment to think… I love walking barefoot on green grass on a hot sunny day, when I am stressed or depressed, which is quite often recently. Something about the contrast between the cool feeling from grass underneath my feet and the warm sunlight on my skin with plenty of fresh air and birdsongs somehow relax and calm me.
I have not been able to focus as much as I would like, and it is causing problems when I have many deadlines to meet for both work and study. As my exams are in a few weeks times, followed by a very hectic schedule for September, I might disappear for a little while from this blog, but I will try to keep up with the writing…
For now, I hope you enjoy the sunny summer even though it is not as hot as last year. At least it does not rain!
