Back from New York yesterday and just can’t believe that it’s still hot and sunny in London too… We ARE lucky with the weather this year! I am still digesting my experiences from my one week in NYC, and currently in post holiday jet lag mode, so my outfit today is all about effortless comfort… Well, it is Sunday after all!!
Today is a monochrome day for me, because black goes with anything… It is difficult to ever go wrong with the colour…. and since I am looking for something quick and simple for my morning stroll to the shops down the road, I opt for my favourite DKNY black and white stripes sun dress with matching linen obi belt. I continue the theme of black and white pattern with a pair of black and white stripe sunglasses too.
It can be a little chilly with the wind here even if the sun is glaring down on the street, so a light wrap cardigan doesn’t hurt. I choose the ivory wrap with lace panels I recently bought from Abercrombie & Fitch during my New York trip. What I really like about this top is that it is so versatile… The material is very finely knitted cotton/silk mix, and it is so long that I can wear it as a scarf too! So if it turns out to be too hot later, my wrap can be draped as a long scarf instead… What’s not to like?!?
WHAT I WORE:
Obi Belt: DKNY
Cardigan/ Scarf: Abercrombie & Fitch
Watch: Tag Heuer
Sunglasses: Emporio Armani
